What Car Central is

Car Central is a place for dealers and private owners to list cars and for shoppers to find them. Car Central lists some cars it owns itself, shown under its own name. For every other car, we are not the seller. A dealer's car is offered by the dealer named on its page, and any sale is a contract between you and that dealer. A private owner's car is covered below.

Prices and details

Dealers set their own prices and write their own descriptions. A listed price is the dealer's asking price. Tax, title, registration and the dealer's documentation fee are extra, and the dealer will confirm the full price before you buy. A listing is not a binding offer, and a car may already be sold or under contract. Please confirm details, condition and history with the dealer before you rely on them or travel to see a car.

We work to keep listings accurate, but we can't promise every detail is complete or current.

Private sellers

Anyone can list a car they own. A private listing is labeled "Private seller", and Car Central shows no name or contact details for the owner. Buyers send a message through the site and the seller decides whether to reply. For private listings, Car Central doesn't own, inspect, price, hold or sell the car, doesn't handle payment, and isn't part of the sale. The deal is between the buyer and the seller.

Sellers must own the car or be allowed to sell it, with the title in their name or about to be. Listings must be accurate, with photos of the actual car. We review listings before they go live, and we may decline or remove any listing, including ones that look false, duplicated, or unsafe. Sellers are responsible for completing the sale and the title paperwork correctly with the DMV. Buyers should inspect the car, get a vehicle history report, meet in a public place, and not send money before they've seen the car.

Asking about a car

When you send a message, you tell us it's accurate and that the dealer may contact you about that car by phone, text or email. See Privacy for how your details are handled. Please don't send spam, false information, or anyone else's details.

Using the site

Please don't copy the site's content in bulk, try to break or overload it, or use it to harass dealers or other people. We can block access to protect the site or its users.

Photos and content

Photos and descriptions are provided by dealers, who are responsible for having the right to post them. If you believe something on Car Central shouldn't be there, contact the dealership on the car's page and we'll look at it promptly.

No warranties from us

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, CTE Studios isn't responsible for the cars, the dealers, or the dealers' statements, and isn't liable for losses that come from using the site. Nothing here limits any right you have under the law that can't be limited, including rights you have against the dealer who sells you a car.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
